Greetings from Florida. My name is Bonnie (I go by "Bon" usually) and it looks like one of my ancestors spent his final days in Tipperary. I've only found this out (he moved all over the place, having been a former army man) and this is my first chance to look at Tipperary sources. The problem is, I can't read the townland on the certificate! I scanned the relevent part of the document and it's here: http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a382/TBonzie/AG.gif Mullahraney? But I don't see that name on any townland list that I've seen online. The district was Thomastown, and the Superintendent Registrar's district was Clogheen, but in spite of intensive searching, I just can't make out what that townland in column two is! Without figuring it out, I am unable to figure out in which parish to have a look. Andrew Graham was born in Monaghan, married an Englishwoman while in Manchester England and served at various places in Ireland including a short stint in Clonmel. According to his service record, he was in Tipperary in 1834 for part of the year, and also in 1837. I don't know where he was from 1839 (when he finished his military service) until 1862 when his daughter married in Clogher, Tyrone county. (The informant on this death record, on the half that I didn't scan, was from "Tully Broom" which is the townland directly next door to where Andrew lived in Tyrone in 1862.) This family has been a real puzzlement. I have at least 5 children including my ancestor, born in Ireland, but of course, "Ireland" is very vague. I have not found the baptisms in Tyrone, and now with finding this death records and knowing he was there in the mid to late 1830s, I will turn my attention to Tipperary. This should be interesting, as this is a whole new county for me. I have other Irish lines, but none from this county.
