Linda: Don't overlook censuses for Maryland. Check with Ancestry or Heritage to see if they have anything. Have you checked to see what vital records are available for Baltimore at that period of time? What about early city directories? Meagher would not be a terribly common name; I would look up every Meagher family that I could find on the 1830 census for Baltimore MD. It will list head of household only, but from it you might be able to get an idea of the area in which they lived, then check out what church would have been in the area that would serve the population. There might also be some tax records. I would go to www.familysearch.com and look under Baltimore MD and see what records are available for rent from your local FHC.
