Hi, I'm fairly new on this list. My gg grandfather John Griffin was born in Ireland and emmigrated first to Yorkshire then Lancashire in England. His employment record states that he was born in Tipperary, Tipperary. I guess this would be Tipperary town. He was born c 1822 to a Michael Griffin, farmer. His mother's name may be Helen or Helena. In Griffiths valuation there is a Michael Griffin in the Thurles area. I would very much appreciate help or pointers. Where would I start looking for records? Which parish?
