    3. I am searching into the origins of Michael Corbett, Catherine Kennedy, and Eleanor Meagher in Nenagh and its nearby area. Michael Corbett and Catherine Kennedy were a married couple who immigrated from County Tipperary to the United State [abt. 1818-1819]. Prior to their immigration, they had several children born in Ireland [Mary, Timothy, and Ellen - also possibly Michael]. They were Roman Catholic. Following immigration, the family lived in the area of Baltimore, Maryland in a suburban neighborhood called Pikesville where Michael Corbett was a career soldier in the U.S. Army [with a designation as a "wagoneer"]. Church records indicate that Catherine Kennedy [b. abt. 1787] was the daughter of Patrick Kennedy and Eleanor Maher [Meagher] of Nenagh town. Patrick Kennedy is known to have been a grocer who had a shop on Barrack Street in Nenagh. The father of this Patrick Kennedy was Roger Kennedy who lived in Knigh. A brother to Catherine Kennedy was also named Patrick Kennedy [b. 1786] He became a Catholic priest, eventually serving as Bishop of Killaloe Diocese [1836-1850]. Other Kennedy siblings were John, Rody, Thomas, and Eleanor. Rody lived in Birr. Thomas became a priest. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also I am searching for the origins of Michael Corbett - husband of Catherine Kennedy. He is known to have been Roman Catholic. His gravestone and obituary show his birth in County Tipperary in 1788. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also I am searching for the origins of Eleanor Maher [Meagher] who married Patrick Kennedy [the grocer].
