Tom, I have Catherine English born about 1799 who married Michael Hally born about 1797. They married before 1816 when their first child was born. Information I have from one of their children's death record states that Michael was born in Newcastle and Catherine in Grange (just east of Clonmel). Eleven of their 13 children were baptized in the Newcastle Parish, Co Tipperary. Sponsors for several of their children were Ellen English, John English, Margaret English, and Mary English. Catherine and Michael named their children, Ellen, Mary, Honora, Edward/Edmund, Michael, Bridget, Margaret, Catherine, David, John, Thomas (in order of baptism) and Patrick and William (I have no other information on these two). Have you run across and of these English's in your research? Catherine and Michael and most of their children immigrated to NY + - 1850 and settled in Wis by 1855.
