Hi Estelle, I have Dunnes, Patrick and Bridget (nee Kennedy) from Co. Tipperary but they settled and died in Victoria so there's no connection there. But, their grave stone and death certs say they were from Killenaule which is a place in Co.Tipp.I'm wondering if that is the place your Mary was born? Dale from the Whitsundays Qld but in a cold, wintery Cork, Ireland at the moment. ---- Original Message ---- From: stelly__57@hotmail.com To: IRL-TIPPERARY-L@rootsweb.com Subject: RE: [TIP] New to List Date: Thu, 12 Jan 2006 16:05:19 +1000 >Hello, >I live in Central Queensland, Australia. Hi Dale, Yes, I believe that is the place in Ireland - taking the old Irish accent and probably a certain amount of illiteracy into account. Bridget DUNNE was a maiden name (or at least pre-marriage to Patrick Bryan) in my ancestor's case. Kilmain is another story. From what I can work out and have been told, it may be an RC Parish in County Mayo. I just have a Death Certificate that Mary NAIL was born in Kilmain, Tipperary, Ireland. Her daughter that was born in "Killenaule" was the informant, so being Irish one would think she would have known something. Any ideas from over there. Are you on a geneaological holiday - or working over there? Temperatures have been over 40deg here and extremely dry, though I believe it has rained fairly extensively in the north the last couple of days. Wish we could get some. Would appreciate any thoughts on Kilmain.
