Bon: I tried to take a look at your death record and got only the left side of the page, is this the only part you have online? One thing I did notice was that you've purchased a long form copy of the certificate--which means you got someone from today transcribing what they think they read on a certificate written 125 years ago. If that person is not familiar with the locations, or the handwriting, well you can see where the problems might arise. I have a copy of the book Townlands in Poor Law Unions, from 1885, so just shortly after your death was registered. Unfortunately, there appears to be no district called Thomastown in the Clogheen Superintendents district. On a hunch, I went to the Thomastown Superintendent's district, but they have nothing called Clogheen. I usually don't disagree with Pete, but in this case, I might, because Mullaghnoney townland is in the Clonmel Superintendent's district. I do have a townland candidate, just based on how it would sound to someone dealing with an accent from the north of Ireland or even England, and that would be the townland of Monaloughra in Shanrahan civil parish. At this point, I would probably advise that you get a photocopy of the actual register entry. With that you are looking at the actual entry made in 1879. If you want to email me privately, about March 28, and remind me, I can pick up a copy of the actual entry when I'm in Dublin. I'm heading over there on March 30. Cindy
