I do not know dates or ship or even if the brothers came together. On their marriage certificate has 'not stated' re most things and on the death one of them as been in the Colonies abt. 35yrs. (so makes abt. 1855 for one). I know what happened when they were married here to death but not before coming over. Have written many letters etc. but have hit the proverbial brick wall. Guess John b.abt. 1835 and Benjamin 1837. Would love some help. Lesley

What state were they in Lesley? (Geographically that is!) Have you tried the shipping lists for Victorian shipping? Try http://proarchives.imagineering.com.au/index_search.asp?searchid=24 There's a Benjamin on the 'Salsette' in 1841 but his father is also Benjamin and there's no Michael, Ellen or John. When I type in Robertson (which would have been a perfectly natural error on the part of the recorder) there's a Benjamin and a John on the Duke of Richmond in 1853, aged 34 and 36. Also Catherine 33 and Sarah 25. Good luck.
