    3. Hi there Heidi and everyone! Yes I intend to be at the Family History show in London on 29th of April. It's fun to attend but be warned it is not very "useful". It is quite a large event with maybe about 250 stands. Most are amateur or semi-professional societies from various geographical areas in UK, usually based on counties. There are a few Irish stalls. I expect Eneclann to be there. Maybe also the London based "Irish Genealogical Research Society" [if they will get off their aristocratic arses and prove they are still alive but I doubt it!] Ancestry.com usually have a large stand with a lot of advisers. The other major London sources, Public Record Office, National Archives, etc. should all have stands. Contact me nearer the time and we can fix a stall, and a time, to meet at. The previous day also has eight introductory talks at the same venue. Fri 28 11:00-17:00 A Taste of Family History. Four from eight introductory talks at the Royal Horticultural Hall, SW1. Ticket £15 includes free entry to the Show on Saturday more(pdf) Details of what the lectures are about don't seem to be available yet but should eventually appear on the "Society of Genealogy" website http://www.sog.org.uk (you will have to navigate into their events page and click for more info. http://www.sog.org.uk/events/calendar.html#footnote Richard Callanan London England -----Original Message----- From: Iamhydee@aol.com [mailto:Iamhydee@aol.com] Sent: 31 January 2006 18:48 To: IRL-TIPPERARY-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [TIP] Re: The Family History Show" Hi, listers, I'm so excited because I think I'll be attending "The Family History Show" in London on 29, April, 2006.
