    3. Nenagh Guardian 11-12-1899 Extraordinary incident An extraordinary incident is reported from Carrick on Suir. Some days ago an old lady named Lacy who lived in an evicted hut near that place, died. Before her death she requested those about her, when arranging her for internment, not to disturb her hair. The request was so curious that on her death they became inquisitive and on examining her hair found gold and silver concealed in it up to about £50. As the old lady was supposed to be extremely poor, and lived in a penurious manner, the discovery of the money coupled with its extraordinary place of concealment caused much surprise. Mary
