Hi Listers, I have an ancestor David SMITH who died in Ennis Town, County Clare in 1878. His obituary in the newspaper lists many who attended his funeral. Two people who interest me are Henry TULLOCH/TULLOCK who is named as the step-father of David SMITH and John MCNAY who is named as the uncle of David SMITH. After searching in some directories I have found the following. As David SMITH was also a Grocer and Spirit and Wine Dealer in Ennis Town, I think it is very likely these are the relations. Also David SMITH was originally in partnership as a Wine and Spirit Dealer with a James MACNAY IN 1856 Ennis Town, County Clare. 1856 - Slater's Directory of Ireland - Tipperary Section MACNEY John 49 West Main St Grocer MACNEY John 49 West Main St Spirit & Wine Dealer 1867 Henry & Coghlan's General Directory of Cork & Munster Grocers & Spirit Dealers TULLOCH Henry - Main Street, Tipperary 1881 - Slater's Commercial Dirctory of Ireland Grocers & Spirit Dealers TULLOCH Henry - 49 West Main Street, Tipperary Is anyone else looking at these names or have any further information on these people?
