Hi Janet, Would you have an Alice Cashin in your family? She was born about 1830, and married Patrick Geary around 1850. Their children, that I know of were Michael-1854, Patrick-1861, John-1862, James-1864, Richard-1867, and Mary-1873. I obtained the children's birth dates from, death certs, naturalization papers, etc. Some are approximate. They children came to Fall River, MA beginning with Michael in 1871, the others followed at different times, some arriving in Philadelphia. JOHANNA CASHIN (1847 - 1921 or 1923 Hello Paula, This has just been sent to me from a cousin of my husband who lives in Cashel, Tipperary. I did not have this information before, but now know who my Joanna's siblings were and who her parents were. It has been hard to find CASHIN's in Tipperary - have found several in Waterford County. Patrick says you have to go to Tipperary township for research not the churches as the information has been given to the Heritage Centres. The service was performed by a Father William Quirke and was witnessed by James Cunningham and Mary Duggan. Johanna was born in the parish of Cashel and baptized there on 26 April 1847. Her baptismal sponsors were Jeremiah Cashin and Margaret Croke. Her parents were William Cashin from Deansgrove in the Parish of Cashel and Mary Croke from Dually in the Parish of Boherlahan. They were married in the Parish of Boherlahan on 11 February 1844. Johanna had seven siblings, five sisters and two brothers.
