Thank you Christina for the IGP Archives website and for your vivid descriptions of your trip. I think we all need to win lotto so we can all return to our ancestral homes for a year or more. I have just been on the IGP site and quite unexpectedly when I clicked on Ballingarry and headstones the first photo was of the Ballingarry RC Church where my GGGrandparents Michael Kelly and Mary Corcoron were married in Jan 1959. How great is that. :-)))) The other thing I discovered in the Ballingarry section was the name Corcoron on one of the headstones. The Headstone--#12--ryan--john was "erected by Bridget alias Corcoron in memory of her beloved husband John Ryan who died Dec 9th 1843 aged 58". Is there any likelyhood she might be an Aunt to my Mary Corcoron? Or like my Sutherlands in Caithness could there have been thousands of Corcorons living in a very small area? Chris, I don't know. I leave those decisions up to the family searchers. <G> I am glad you found some things to enjoy on the site. We hope to keep building it up with the help of our friends.
