Am searching for any information on a Michael James Kearney. All I find is that he was was born in Tipperary in 1830. It could be Tipperary City or County. He appears in Fitzroy, Ontario, Canada in the 1851 as a shoemaker apprentice, single man, no family. He could read and write. I have paid to have him researched in Ireland, however no results. I was informed it was unusual in those days for him to have a first and middle name and to be educated. He eventually married in Canada to a Mary Curley, born in Co. Clare, and they had 16 children. He was a prosperous businessman in Eganville, Ontario and died in 1894 in Sudbury, Ont. Any ideas would be appreciated. Diane
