    3. Hello Amanda - Sorry I can't help with the families you posted. However, my mother was a Curran. My gggf, James Curran, was born in County Cavan about 1820. I believe he was born in Corlough Parish, and he probably resided in the townland of Altinure as early as 1857 or even earlier. He may have been born in Altcrock, a townland near Altinure. He married his first wife, Mary Ann Magolrick (McGoldrick?), in 1848 and she died in 1857 in Altinure. James' second wife was Rose Prior (my gggm), apparently of County Leitrim, but close to Altinure in Cavan. James and Rose married about 1859, most probably in Altinure, and spent the rest of their lives in Altinure until their deaths in 1904 and 1912, respectively. Their children included Patrick b. 1860, Hugh in 1861, Peter 1863, John (my ggf b. 1865 and emigrated to Philadelphia, PA, about 1887), Bridget 1867, James 1870, and Michael 1874, all baptised in Templeport Parish. Note that Corlough and Templeport are adjoining parishes in northwest Cavan, and existed variously as separate parishes or one combined parish under the name Templeport. I also have Walls, possibly from Meath, and Dunnes in my ancestry. Hope we are relaterd somewhere! - Lee Morton, Medford, New Jersey, USA ----- Original Message ----- From: "Amanda Curran" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, June 13, 2009 10:58 PM Subject: [IRL-TIP] LONERGAN / KEATON / CUMMINS / MORISAY/MARRISEY / KENNEDYIreland to Australia > Wondering if anyone is researching this family?
