    3. This is just a reminder to Never Give Up!! After years of banging my head against a brick wall today I got an email from a truly "long-lost" cousin. Several years ago I posted a message on Rootsweb, today, out of the blue, I got an answer. My father's family left Ireland in 1927 and settled in Long Island. He had two brothers and a sister. My father died very young, as did my mother. I lost all contact with my father's family (we lived in Florida). About 15 years ago I began trying to find the cousins I knew were out there. My search led me to second cousins in England, and I was thrilled to find them. They had no clue to the rest of the family in the US so were unable to help me with that search. But it was great fun meeting them! And now, today I get that impossible email. He'd seen a different posting I left somewhere about my father's name change. He'd Googled the name he knew my father had used and one thing led to another. Gotta love the internet!
