Christina, I was following the string on digitization versus transcription. Do you happen to know if the parish records from the National Librarywill be actual images that we can save a copy of? Jan
I have not seen much written about this and so have just been waiting to see what happens. I read that the films would be digitized for the internet. To me that means that you can look through a film much like you do on the familysearch.org site. BUT there will be no indexing. So, my assumption is that you are on your own. I would assume if there are images, they can be saved. If something like a google book, cannot be copied, you can always grab a copy of the image from your screen using the Print Screen button on your keyboard. Then open a simple graphics program like irfanviewer or paint, hit Edit then Paste. Or just Crl-V which is paste. The image from your screen will appear and you can save it. Or you can use the snipping tool most of the newer computers have. Christina Jan Fortado wrote: > Christina, I was following the string on digitization versus transcription.
