    2. Christina, Perhaps you can help me. I tried to order a GRO record online for one of the submissions found on Ancestry's newly posted Irish records. I am looking for the marriage record but the online site would only take the date back to 1920. I am looking for a certificate from 1878. record is NOT found on the Irish Family History Foundation site as yet. Wouldn't you know it!!! Thanks, Bev W -----Original Message----- From: Christina Hunt <chrisnina@gmail.com> To: irl-tipperary <irl-tipperary@rootsweb.com> Sent: Fri, Sep 23, 2011 10:13 am Subject: Re: [IRL-TIP] Ancestry adds Catholic Church records Sue it is there on the main page. ere is a screen shot for anyone who doesn't see it. 3. Bev, You can order a cert directly from the GRO. You get a wider range for marriages. The catch is how to pay. You can send a credit card number on your application through the mail. If you need to do this, my suggestion is you find out if you can get a single use number from your credit card company. Bank of America calls it a Shop Safe number. It is safe because it is not your 'real' number and it has a limited amount on it for a limited time. That said the GRO is the way to go. You go to the site below. Print out a Marriage Certificate Request and mail it off. http://www.groireland.ie/apply_for_a_cert.htm BTW, I found that on the marriages (at least some) on Ancestry, it says Click to see who else is on the page. One of the people of the opposite sex is the bride or groom. I played with that yesterday. Christina user917826@aol.com wrote: > Christina, > Perhaps you can help me. 3. Thanks Christina! Maybe my problem is not yet clear. I can search the databases but I cannot see any images. Do you actually see digitized images?
