    2. Hello Victoria, I don't know if what I have is of any use to you, but of the O'Meara baptisms I have collected in Templemore I have two with Comerfords as sponsors: March 25, 1833 John Meara, son of Denis Meara and Mary Wall of Lisanure (as spelled); sponsors are Mary Kavanaugh and Tom Comerford Feb. 1, 1843 Johanna Meara, daughter of Michael Meara and Mary Keane of Clonmore; sponsor is Ellen Comerford Just curious if the male sponsor for Mary born in 1841 might 'Burton' and not Bruton. 3. Glenda Have you seen the birth entries for the children of Martin Flynn and Ellen Wall at www.familysearch.org. They start with Michael 06 Mar 1865 James 08 May 1867 Martin 20 Jan 1869 Patrick 4 Jul 1871 Mary 14 Jun 1873 All entries seem to be in the Thurles registration district. However as R.C.marriages were only recorded from 1864 it is possible given Michael's birth date that you may only find a record of the marriage in parish records as there is no record of the marriage on Family search. If you ordered one of the birth certs for the children it would give place of residence at birth and you would be able to identify the parish. The parish could be Thurles but the registration district of Thurles covers more parishes than Thurles. The parish records for most of the Diocese of Cashel and Emly are not online Roots Ireland a pay site has some but not in the Thurles area. The records are available on microfilm in the National Library Dublin for personal researchers. The Library does not undertake research. There is also the Tipperary Familys History research centre in Tipperary town who have all the records of Cashel and Emly Diocese- it is commissioned research - contact is http://www.tfhr.org/ Regards Clare ----- Original Message ----- From: "K&GFagg" <kfagg@bigpond.com> To: <irl-tipperary@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, November 10, 2011 9:54 AM Subject: [IRL-TIP] Flynn - Wall - Condon > Hello, I'm new to the list and am looking for a marriage of a Martin > Flynn to an Ellen Wall. 3. Hello All,   I was taking a look through parish registers for Clonoulty & Rossmore the other day and came across this surname.   Over a number of years this name appeared on a number of occasions in the baptismal register of persons converting to Roman Catholicism. This might come in handy to widen the search for those who are interested in this surname.   26th June 1828 Clonoulty R.C. John Pennefatherof Marlow Esq. renounced the Church of England nd embraced the Holy Roman Catholic church. Present Catharine Pennefather.   Quite a number converted in subsequent years with the same surname. Slán, Kevin.   My Irish ancestry research blog. http://kevsirishresearch.blogspot.com/

    3. I'm looking for Ann Rawley, who I think was the mother of Johanna Rawley or Delahunty, born in Tipperary in 1851. I would also like to know who the father of Johanna was. It appears he was a Delahunty or Delahunte. A family of Rawleys arrived in Tasmania as assisted immigrants on Flora McDonald in 1855. Joanna was amongst them and also Alley, Ellen, Martin, Mary, Nancy, Robert and Thomas but there was no Ann. Can anyone help me? Karen Dunham

    3. Contact is sought with anyone with knowledge of the Hayes family of Drombane townland, Moyaliffe parish, Tipperary. I am aliaparticularly interested in descendants of Thomas and John Hayes who operated a corn and tuck mill in Drombane . I am also interested in any details concerning Jeremiah Hayes of Drombane. The Griffiths Valuation lists all three as leasing land in Drombane townland. I suspect that Jeremiah Hayes may be the father of Thomas and John Hayes. Any clues appreciated. Darryl Scarff Austr
