I am researching three families from Tipperary: Patrick GLEASON (b. March 17, 1851 or 1853) who emigrated to Ontario, Canada with his sister Kate GLEASON. Patrick married Margaret Elizabeth GALLAGHER (b. Mar. 10, 1855). Their children were Elizabeth (1880), Mary Frances (1882), James William (1884), Evelyn (1885), Dorothy (1889), John Joseph (1892), and twins Harry Harold and Nell (1895). James KEYES. married Mary STRAPPE (b. June 1840), daughter of Patrick STRAPPE. Their children are Thomas (1860), Michael (1862), Catherine (1865), Patrick (1867), Elizabeth (1870) m. Dennis BRODIE, Mary (1876), and Margaret (1878). Patrick O'HALLORAN, s. of Patrick O'HALLORAN and Johanna SCOTT. He was born in Fethard abt. 1870. He married Catherine KEYES. Emigrated to the New York, NY abt. 1888.

Our family is: from Patrick H Carroll born in Ireland 1810 and died May 18, 1878 in Dubuque, Iowa. He married for sure, a Francis K Tucker, a widow November 27, 1851 in Macon, GA. I have all family information from that time on to present. But we have no definate knowledge from his time in Ireland ( was told Tipperary ) till he shows up in GA 1851, we have a big gap there. Have found a possible father and mother but nothing further to really connect him to them other than the fact he shows up as a son, same name and date of birth to a William Carroll Abt 1780 married to a Bridget Clary abt 1784 in Ireland. It also says that Patrick married a Mary Power abt 1841 in UK she being a daughter of a James Power and Mary Pendergas. She was born in Ireland in 1820. IF he did marry before Francis Tucker, it would give something to go on his time before coming to the States??? How to find out for sure any suggestions? Bernadette (Carroll) Schattilly

My grandmother was Julia Ann Lyons - born May or November 1871-1875 in Cork City. Date is different on birth certificate than on other records. She had 2 brothers - John and Denis - born in Cork City in early 1870s also. Her parents were John Lyons - a cooper but no other information and Ellen Daly - also no other information. I would like to trace my grandmother's two brothers - John and Denis Lyons - in Cork City. They appear to have attended St. Finbars South Roman Catholic Church in Cork City in 1870s. Any information will be appreciated. Eileen Dillon Kightlinger
