    3. Hi Ellen, I have very little information on the Hogan family. I believe Mary's farther was Diarmaid (Darby) Hogan and her mother was Honore Cahahan. There isn't any further information available to me at present. This has become a major brick wall for me, but I live in hope. If I find out any information that may assist I will forward it to you. By the way, the name Hennessy also appears with some prominence in the Breen Australian connections. The Breens were principally around the Goulburn area, the Hennessys around Cowra and Canowindra. 3. I don't know EXACTLY where Bridget Lonergan landed but Rockhampton has one for about the right time and age in the late 1870's. She married in Sydney and lived there before going to Pitt Town, Bega and back to Sydney....Bondi where she died. Not many Bridget Lonergan's are noted entering Australia for the time I was told. 3. Mary, Thank you again for the time and trouble you've taken with my enquiry - it's much appreciated. I think my next task is to find out where Michael was working in the North at the time of the 1911 census and find him there (I've only just learnt that this is possible in Ireland - the 1911 census isn't available for England yet) then I will - hopefully- have an indication of where to look in Tipp. The info you've found will give me reference points as I feel I'm working in the dark at the moment! There is a Lanigan family at Three Castles which I don't think is mine although there is a son - Michael- with the "right" dates. That family had at least ten children, some of whom went to America. My grandfather never mentioned any family so it's really unlikely to be the Three Castles lot! I will also try to chase up the siblings you found as that may throw up more information on the family as a whole. I forgot to say that Michael's father James' occupation was a farmer - again info from Michael's marriage cert.
