Hi Listers, I've been lurking for about a month, and thought it was time I posted my interests. I am searching for birthplace, birth date, and parent information for Edmund WALDRON: Edmund WALDRON was born abt. 1830 in Co. Kildare. In the early 1850's, he left Ireland and went to Australia. I have the marriage certificate of Edmund to Julia BURNETT, 21 May 1857, in Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia. The marriage took place at the "RC School". Another certificate I have leads me to believe this may be the same as "Roman Catholic Schoolhouse". On the certificate, Edmund writes: "I, Edmund WALDRON, do declare that I am a member of the Church of Ireland". And Julia writes: "I, Julia BURNETT do hereby declare that I am a member of the Catholic Church". Edmund's occupation is listed as saddler, and Julia's is listed as houseservant. Edmund's parents are William WALDRON (occupation: illegible, but might be hat-something or slat-something) and Jane SHERWOOD. Julia's parents are James BURNETT, Innkeeper, and Catherine DOHERTY. The witnesses were William BURNETT and Mary BURNETT. If anyone is researching this family, please contact me off list.
