    1. [IRL-SURNAMES] RE; MULVIHILL FAMILY
    2. Researching the Mulvihill Family Tree from Branemore and Listowel Co. Kerry Ireland. My husbands Family is from that area. My husband was born in County Kerry but has very little information on his family outside of a few of his brothers and sisters. We know that his gr.grandfather James Mulvihill was born in Ireland and came to the states after his wife died on May 17, 1880. He died in Chicago and is buried in Chicago. His wife Katherine (Kit) maden name Cronin is interned in Kilsinan Cemetery in Listowel. James was born in 1819 and died in 1915? Katherine was born in 1847 ? and died between 1880 and 1902. They had eight children. Only two of their children remained in Ireland...their sons James and John. James was known as the dark-haires one. He had the nick-name of Fox Mulvihill because he raised foxes, and was also a gardner. He was also interested in politics. He had 13 children. John was my husbands grandfather and was known as the light haried one and he lived in a house in branemore. He and his wife (? name) had 6 children all born in Listowel. His oldest son James remained in Ireland and married Elizabeth Kelleher (? on spelling) and had 12 children. Three emmigrated to the states and the others remained in Ireland or emmigrated to England. Any help or imformation would be appreciated. Please contact me at Foogieboo@aol.com
