Searching for the surname CONWELL. According to the documentation I have acquired my GGGrandmother was Annie Conwell b. in Derrygowla (hope I spelled the town right) Ireland which I've been told is in County Mayo, the Civil Parish of Islandeady, Poor Law Union of Westport, Burrishoole Barony. Her father's name was Carnelius and according to the US Census, Annie came to the US in 1875 (don't know if her family came with her or not). CONWELL does not seem to be a common name in Ireland, has anyone else heard of this surname in connection with County Mayo? Pat
