Hi everyone This is my first posting to this list, so I'll start by listing my interests in Co. Roscommon. We are researching the family of GRIMLEY (sometimes spelt GRIMSLEY or GRINDLEY) from Elphin in the early 1800s. Matthew GRIMLEY and his wife (probably Hanora, surname unknown) had at least 4 children - Bridget (born abt. 1818), Mary, Margaret and John. These four children emigrated (without their parents) to NSW Australia as free settlers in December 1841. Bridget and Mary both married convicts in 1842.
