I am researching the family of JOHN and ANNIE [nee McCORMACK] McGUIRE. John a widower aged 45 years arrived in Australia on ship Ninewah in 1879 with five of his ten children. The other five arrived on ship Aberdeen in 1885 with an aunt BRIDID McCORMICK. Their address in Roscommon when deposits were paid for their fares was "Ballyfeeney, Kilglass, Strokestown." I guess Annie must have died about 1877-78. Was there a Census in Ireland for the 1800s. Where else could I look. Thank you for any information. Margaret in Australia.
