Hi, I have recently started to research my Irish ancestors and, so far, finding it rather difficult. Until a week ago I had no idea which part of Ireland they came from but then found on the 1881 Census for Stirling, Scotland, that my gggrandfather was from Caran. The information I have at present is very scant but I'm hoping that someone can help me determine if I'm on the correct list. I'm looking for Joseph COYLE and his wife Honora McGUIRE and their son, William, all of whom moved to Culross, Fife, Scotland probably in the early 1840's - I didn't find them on the 1841 Census. There is no trace of Joseph or Honora - death certificates etc., - so perhaps they moved back to Ireland. William married a Catherine MEIKLEJOHN and remained in Scotland. Any help at all from members on this list will be greatly appreciated. Thank you - May (Western Canada)
