    2. A Barrett
    3. Hi I am trying to locate the family of Michael Kelly who emigrated to mid Cheshire, almost certainly from Roscommon. In Cheshire he married a Margaret Callaghan almost certainly from Westport/Castlebar in Mayo. I believe that Michael, born between 1825 & 1833 had a father also called Michael and may have had a brother and sister of similar ages called Patrick and Mary. Not much to go on, but any help would be appreciated Regards Tony Barratt

    3. For those researching the area of Athlone, and can't find anything regarding the census. You might want to try the local library. There's a Mr. O'Brien there and he made copies for me for the census records of the time I required. It's only 10 cent a copy. Actually he didn't charge me..but, I would recommend that you send acouple of dollars at least. He will make copies for you. He's a wonderful gentleman...and very helpful (self address envelope...but, he 'has' to put have an Ireland stamp as it's going OUT of his country:-). Also if you know your ancestors were born in Athlone, Co Westmeath, you might want to write to Patsy Norton, there again send some $ as she has access to the records at St.Peter's church there. I found my g.g.grndparents in there. The records are in a room behind the pulpit. Large Red books..she holds them while you 'view' the records. They are most helpful. Att: Patsy Norton, St.Peter's & Paul's on Church Street. Athlone, Co. Westmeath, Ireland. That should do it. The library is across the street from the church and sits on Church St. as well. Good luck.
