The Ruttle Family: Two genealogical problems which have been bugging me concerning my wife's family a) There is a Daniel RUCKEL who was married to a Jane HALL (Born ABT 1855 and died 2 August 1916). They had at least four children: John (Born 19 July 1877), Daniel (Born 28 March 1879), Samuel (Born 27 July 1883) and James (Born 24 May 1887). Rosanna (Born 1 April 1875 may have been a daughter. My query is: when was this particular Daniel born and who were his parents. b) Much has been written about Catherine (Katherine) Elizabeth RUCKLE who was born in 1690 and who married Johann Christopher SWITZER in 1720. However some records show the Catherine was a daughter of Caspar while others show that she was a daughter of Sebastian (although this would seem unlikely given that Sebastian was only born in 1679). Did both Caspar and Sebastian have a similarly named daughter and if so, which was the one who married Johann Christopher ? Also,. some records show that they were married in Ireland; others that they were married in Canada. Can anyone please clarify these two concerns ?
