    1. Re: [IP] Piper
    2. Annette, Thank you so much for the response. I was sorry to hear that there was no big revelation on my Elizabeth Piper...but was grateful for your nice response. I have not added any Piper information to my data base but I think I may add the information that Terry Pyper sent me about Elizabeth Piper as (possibles) and list the information from the Piper pages in "Palatine Families of Ireland". Then if I need to see the information it will be right at hand and I can always make changes if I need to. It is important to document our information. I get a copy of every birth, death and marriage certificate and land record I can find naming my ancestors. Also any information from books that mention them. At first I wasn't copying the title page and sometimes would not list where the book was located. Now I try to document everything and when someone sends me something I document the source. I have lots of pages that I can't remember where they came from especially from when I first started doing genealogy. I am delighted to someone from Austrailia. The computer amazes me. With a click of a mouse we can talk to people from all of the world. I hope the Piper Reunion was a great success. It would be interesting to hear about the reunion and what the adgenda was. I am one of the historians for our annual Ruckle Reunion. This year, in June, we will hold our 42nd. It is usually a small group of people, we bring covered dishes, we have games for the children and give out gifts for different catagories like who traveled the furtherest, the oldest woman and the oldest man, the newest baby, the most recently married, etc. We also have an auction. They like to have signed, handmade items but some of us who aren't very crafty bring other things that we may have around the house or that we find at craft shows. I am not very crafty so I try to find something during the year to take to the auction. It is a lot of fun and we enjoy getting together. I know what you mean about not having a lot of time. Life is busy...and things are always happening to distract us from one thing to another. I know this is unrelated to genealogy....but I would like to know if you know any history on Ruckle Roo, (the mascot ?), of the football team in Melbourne, Austrailia. I found a stuffed Ruckle Roo, and a wallet with a Ruckle Roo on Ebay one time and copied the pictures, also saw a picture on a web site that showed two people with a person dressed up as Ruckle Roo (I copied that too). I was wondering if there was a connection to a Ruckle and what it might be. If I ever find anything on Elizabeth Piper I will let you know. I have been searching the church records and other records I can find for a trace of her here, but have had no success, she may have died in Ireland. There are still a lot of records to search here in Maryland, but I am limited in what I can do and there does not seem to be enough time to get to everything I would like to. Thank you again for your response. Carole Richardson Baltimore, Maryland
