Hi Mary, In response to your question, I will try to tell you where I fit in with the Switzers as I understand it. My great grandfather was a man named Robert Doupe who married Ellen Shier. Ellen Shier < Adam Shier - Charlotte Switzer Charlotte Switzer < Edward Switzer - Sarah Shier Edward Switzer < Adam Switzer - Sarah Switzer (no further info on Sarah) Adam Switzer < Michael Switzer - Ann Shier (Michael is not the 1709 guy) Michael Switzer < Martin Switzer - Mary Elizabeth Switzer (no further info on Mary Elizabeth) Martin Switzer < Michael Schweitzer - Dorothea Schweitzer (Michael is the 1709 guy) Michael Schweitzer < Johann Jacob Schweitzer, Jr. - Anna Maria Schweitzer Johann Jacob Schweitzer, Jr. < Johann Jacob Schweitzer - Elesabeth Kesselring Johann Jacob Schweitzer < Hans Jacob Schweitzer The above is the story as I understand it, always subject to update of course.
