I am also interested in the Smeltzers of Kilcooly. My g-g-grandfather Philip Smeltzer was born in 1805 in Kilcooly, married Ann Barkman in 1835, and both emigrated to Brooklyn, NY in 1847 with their children Ann, Maria, Thomas, and Philip. My g-grandfather Thomas Smeltzer was 7 at the time. I have a book on the Smeltzers of Kilcooly but I just moved and it will be a little while before all those books are unpacked. When it's available, I'll see if Catherine and William are mentioned and how they fit in, and let you know what I find. Carol
