Dear Liz, I seem to recall exchanging an E Mail with you a couple of years ago. However, let me share with you what I have on the Neazor family. Do please correct me where I have gone wrong. Let me start with my wif'e cousin William RUTTLE who was born on 30 July 1902. He married Violet NEAZOR at Kilcornan on 26 November 1936. Violet was born at Tralee, Co Kerry on 29 February 1911, was a daughter of George NEAZOR and Rebecca COYNE and a granddaughter of Tom NEAZOR. Well, what do I have on the Neazors. It is well recorded that a John NEZER - probably the John born at Kilcornan ABT 1749 - married Anna Barbara TESKEY at Rathkeale on 7 October (or was it 10 July) 1770. There was also a Mary NEZZER born 1762 who was married at Rathkeale on 28 January 1783 to Adam DOUPE (Born Courtmatrix 1751 and buried there 5 March 1827) They had six children: a) Charles DOUPE Born 1783 Died 1862 b) Joseph DOUPE Born 1786 c) Elizabeth DOUPE Born 1789 Married a John MILLER. Died 1874 d) Sarah DOUPE Born 1795 and married to a Thomas HEAVENER in 1816. e) Catherine DOUPE Born 1798 and died 1918 f) Rebecca DOUPE Born 1800 and married to Michael BOVENIZER. Mary died at Courtrmatrix and was buried at Rathkeale on 3 December 1807. There are a few Neazors who I cannot fit into the overall picture: Thomas NEAZOR born Ireland 1837 who was married at Rathkeale on 2 February 1858 to Dorothea SWITZER Elizabeth NEZZER born Rathkeale ABT 1765 who married Tobias SWITZER. She died at Newcastle West, Co Limerick amd was buried at Rathkeale on 22 April 1831 Agnes NEAZOR Born at Kilcornan ABT 1780 Died 11 March 1855 and buried at Ardcanny. Could she have been the wife of Thomas ? Mary NEAZER Daughter of Michael Born Drumlohan, Married at Kilcornan on 19 February 1846 to George DREW. Died ABT 1852. Two sets of Nezzers who I have info on. John NEZER and his wife Mary of Ballydool. John was a farmer. They had 10 children. a) John NEZER Born 1844 b) Thomas NEAZER Born 1846 c) Ann NEAZER d) Michael NEAZER Born 1850 e) George NEAZER Born 1852 f) John NEAZOR "a delicate child" Born 1854 g) Isaac NEAZOR - a twin of John. h) Mary Ann NEAZOR Born 1855 i) Robert NEAZOR Born 1857 j) John F NEAZOR Born 1859. Next to Thomas NEAZOR who I assume to be a son of John and May NEZER, detailed above. Thomas, a farmer, married Theresa of Ballydool and they had three children: a) John NEAZOR who was born 2 January 1891 and "being ill" was baptised the following day. b) William NEAZOR who was born on 3 March 1892. He was recorded as "being feeble" c) George NEAZOR, the father of Violet, who was born on 21 March 1893 and is described in Church records as "restless". I also have an Elizabeth NEAZOR. daughter of John NEAZOR of Castle Hewson, who was married to George RUTTLE, son of William RUTTLE, at Askeaton on 7 November 1867. George is described variously as a land steward, a caretaker and an agricultural labourer. I believe he and his wife lived at Ballyengland, Askeaton. They had six children: a) William John RUTTLE, who was born 22 August 1868 b) George Nezzer RUTTLE, who was born 17 July 1875 c) Michael James RUTTLE, who was born 14 September 1878 d) Robert Samuel RUTTLE, who was born 17 March 1880 e) Richard Charles RUTTLE, who was born 30 January 1882 f) Edward Albert RUTTLE, who was born on 7 May 1884 Returning to William RUTTLE and Violet NEAZOR. They had four children, born in Ireland, before crossing the Irish Sea to live in England. a) George Joseph RUTTLE b) Hazel Rebecca RUTTLE c) William Kenneth RUTTLE d) Desmond Richard RUTTLE. All four married and raised families in England where they still live William RUTTLE died on 29 December 1961. Violet then married William James TESKEY in 1974. She died in Scotland on 17 June 1991 while Bill TESKEY died at Chesterfield on 4 September 2001. I do hope that the above is correct and that you have found it helpful Derek Green
