Hello, Anne: Yes, my emigrant CROWLEY was Mary, who was born in County Limerick around 1828 or so. She married (whether before or after emigration, we don't know yet) Edward FLANNERY, and they were settled in Machias, Maine, USA by 1848. Mary's father was John CROWLEY; her mother was Julia FOLEY, both of Limerick (don't know the town/townland yet). One problem for us is that Edward was from Galway (Kiltullagh and Athenry Parishes)--and we don't yet know how they met. Probably on ship or here in North America after arrival. We think Mary's mother Julia may have come over (maybe after her father John died) and lived with the Flannerys for a time; at least one census suggests that. Any possible connections??
