Yes I did know that but what I didn't understand was that on my great grandfathers naturalization papers is said Ireland My father said he was Irish. and his cousin all said they were Irish. So I was taken back to find that they were Irish Palatines. I was surprised as the word Palatine was never mentioned in our family on Irish as family tree. Lots for me to learn.
