Hi Judy, The Ransburys come from Limerick, Ireland, but I have not been able to locate anything on them there as of yet. I have not come across Hansbury in my research or Hansbough. I have Nathaniel Ransbury on the 1820 Whitehall, NY census and his naturalization paper says he came 1817 so I know that he did not drop from the sky (G) Sorry, I could not give you more. I know it is frustrating when you cannot pick up the trail. Do you know the time span of arrival to US? Anne
