Cathy Behan >> The LDS films are on microfilm reels and one must go to an LDS Family History Center and use one of their microfilm readers to view the film. Rental of films through the LDS FHC's is very inexpensive. It usually costs about $3.25 to order a film for a period of about 6 weeks. The film stays at the FHC for that entire period and you can view it during hours the FHC is open. Then, if you wish to renew the film, that can be done for a second payment of $3.25 and if you wish to have the film kept at the FHC indefinitely, there is a third payment of $3.25. Otherwise, the film is returned to Salt Lake City to the main library archives there...
