There has been some enthusiastic debate about a potential mass gathering in 2009, but there are many years and opportunities before then. The Irish Palatine Association would be very happy to support anyone who wishes to organise a family gathering in Rathkeale. My own experience of arranging reunions in foreign countries has shown how local support and knowledge can help tremendously to open doors, smooth the way through different cultures, and make for a successful and less stressful event.
