Hi Odds and ends here [#S: These are random documents from the 1712-1719 period that you should be able to slot into sequence without difficulty. Since I have them, I have typed them. Comments would be superfluous, I think. Spelling mistakes and typos are as in the original - trust me.] ***START HERE*** Petition after July 1713 of Leicester & Palatines No B. That there are several poor Palatines now in prison on unreasonable Leases, who have been there above a year in a most deplorable condition, and others have come near 100 miles to Dublin for relief, and redress of grievances, by deputation from the rest, of whom some have been here now above 6 months in Dublin, and waited so long till they have been sent to prison for diet and lodging, and remain there at this time without relief, having made repeated applications and are not yet redressed, Though the express words of the Patent enjoin the said Commissioners, to prevent their being imposed upon by reason of their ignorance, But seldom anything but the aforesaid Commissioners meeting together, Nothing appears yet to be done for their relief from the said thraldom and grievances. MAY IT THEREFORE PLEASE your Excellencies and Lordship to take the premises (promises?) into your tender consideration, and to grant such relief to your petitioners and such of the injured Palatines complaining, as to your great wisdom and Justice shall seem meet. And your Petitioners shall ever pray &c Fran.
