    1. [IP] GROVES TRANSCRIPTS #T
    2. [#T: This is the letter from King George mentioned in the last despatch. George had succeeded Queen Anne the year before and this letter reflects the current position of the Palatines regarding the renewal of their leases. It was about this time (1715) that a muster was taken of the Palatine families in Ireland, which was reproduced in the very first transcript published through the List, as typed by Barb Milburn on 30 June 2000. Remember that this is the first indication, for genealogy researchers, of those German immigrants to London who had actually reached Ireland since 1709. Just as a reminder, if you are interested in retrieving those lists - many of them records of the names of immigrants at various musters and registrations up to (and even beyond) 1766, you should go to: http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/index/irl-palatine and just look up the offerings for individual months] ***START HERE*** Entry Book of King's & Queen's Letters & Reports &c Vol 20 for 1714-1715 1E-2-11 in Rec Office Dublin, p 244 King's Letter 17 June 1715 (The original of which appears to be missing [TG]) GEORGE R.
