    3. My great great grandmother, Ruth Ann REINHART (REINHARDT, RHINEHEART, RYNARD, REYNARD to name a few of the variants used in the records) was born c.1811 in Ireland. Ruth married Abraham PINKNEY in Valcartier, Quebec in Mar.19,1834. I wondered if anyone else on the list was looking into the origin of the REINHART family who came to Canada prior to 1834. Thank you. Regards, Lynda Rimas

Thanks to the member who passed on my details to Pat. To keep the list informed; I have made very little progress back towards establishing a firm link to any of the eight families (Reynart, Reynard, Reynhart, Reinhart) identified from the manifests of the 1709 Palatine emigrants. There is still a window of 3 or 4 generations where a spelling change could have occurred. Most of my recent energies have been directed towards tracing a maternal great grandfather back to the Aeolian Islands and my wife's family through the wine areas of South Australia back to Germany. I have discovered a few new "Rhynehart" names in Ireland and England but they are recent or current and some certainly are distantly related but I have yet to finalise birth lines. I have also identified several "Rhynehart" families in America but have established no link yet. {Pat, if you enter "Rhynehart" into one of the search engines you should get many hits, several around Texas, a roofing firm etc. and a couple of race drivers, there is also a family in Florida. They may be able to help you if they know their ancestors and how their spelling evolved.) There are some real relatives in the States with whom I have had contact but they were all found under other names. This highlights the problem I (and I guess many others) have where a large percentage of the issues of a marriage were girls. Unfortunately most family history was recorded by the women. Daughters changing their name on marriage can be very difficult to track down. All for now, Brian Rhynehart Canberra, Australia.

They fled to Switzerland and eventually made their way to England due to religious persecution. Then were shipped off to Ireland. He and his wife Margareth Kupferschmied died in county Wexford. Their son Ulrich Rinehart settled in Coventry, Penn. he is my emigrant ancestor. But, I am looking for more info on Peter Aaron Rinehart. he was a printer and a minister. I may be going to Ireland this year and am wondering if anyone else on this list is also descended from this family. They were organizers of an early Baptist type group, the Dunkards. 3. Hi Pete I have DREW connections - Margaret & Ann DREW of Kilcornan who married James and William PIPER and came to Australia to live. Margaret and Ann were daughters of Francis DREW and Grace (nee MOYNAHAN). After their father's death in 1838, Margaret, Ann, Thomas, Frank, Edward and widow Grace emigrated to Australia in 1839, following two of their siblings, William and Mary who had emigrated in 1838. The last son, John, followed in 1840. There is a DREW family tree (including my Margaret & Ann) at this site which may help you: http://members.iinet.net.au/~nickred/trees/Drew.pdf Cheers Annette Piper Australia ----- Original Message ----- From: "petemiller" <petemiller@charter.net> To: <IRL-PALATINE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, February 02, 2004 6:33 AM Subject: [IP] Miller, Drew > I have just found this site and am appreciative of the sharing of > information, a fair bit on the Millers but nothing found on the > following Miller line.
