I have John ABBOTT bc 1797 from Ematris Parish married Jan 1824 in Killeevan Parish to Jane HALL b 1804 Cornawall, Par of Killeevan. John & Jane were members of Cahan’s Presbyterian Church and both died 1870 at Lissnaveane. Three daughters, Margaret b1830, Ann b 1836 and Elizabeth 1838 all came to Australia in 1864. Another daughter, Mary married William MATSON. They stayed in Monaghan but at least 3 of their chn emigrated to Australia in the 1880s & 1890s. One son John McCaulay ABBOTT (b 1842)married Annie POTTS and they emigrated to USA. The other son Adam married Ellen POTTS and remained in Co Monaghan. Adam & Ellen had children, one of whom was Robert who lived at “Lisaveny, Swan’s Cross, Rockcorry, Co Mon “ ??
