Supposedly 7 boys in family. Bennet went to Scotland about 1848 and to US about 1850. In Galena, Ill he married Mary McDonald born about 1831. Her parents were Alexander MCDONALD(abt 11805-1840s) and Rose, b abt 1806 in Monaghan.. Rose and children Daniel , Bernard, James & Ellen found in 1851 Glasgow census. Relations by blood or marriage COMISKEY, MCMILLAN, MCCABE. Children of Bennet and Mary were Patrick, Alexander, Mary, Edward Benedict, Thomas and Rose.
