Searching for descendants of Hugh Brown Cornacarrow, Aughnamullen parish Castleblayney. Hugh died in 1877 age 90 so born about 1777. There is no record of his place of birth Hugh was a Presbyterian. His wife may have been Catherine who died in 1870 at Cornacarrow. Four of his children were: Henry who was married date unkn own, (Henry had at least one son named Hugh(b before 1877); Thomas( who was involved in several petty court cases), Betty (Elizabeth) who married Brian Mohan and moved to Waterford Ireland; and Catherine to whom Hugh bequeathed his farm and possessions. Catherine married Arthur Cumskey and lived on the farm. There is a possibility that Hugh may have been connected with the mills at Cornacarrow as a note in the Pre Griffiths survey shows him leasing 12 acres 3 roods of land at plot no 25 with an added note "house not finished Hugh brown holds ?? small fileld marked thus on the map as a doucier for damage of the mills but not liable for tax for two fields". Would like to find additional family members or Hughs burial place or if presbyterian burials took place within a parish. Roisin
