    3. Yes I think you are correct about wishful thinking! Plenty visit the graveyards but no one is willing to take a few photos. 3. OK, how about if a notice was prominently added to http://www.monaghantourism.com/default.aspx which invited visitors to do so? Enlisting the general populace to submit their digital photos is becoming SOP in news reporting and solving crime (eg. the current Boston Marathon incident). Currently buried in monaghantourism.com is this: Gravestone Inscriptions - A large number of graveyards have been inspected over the years and the inscriptions recorded in printed sources. These are available at Monaghan County Library, Clones. which implies that just about everything has already been made available. We want to attract visitors to Monaghan to track down their ancestry, so how about making it an interactive search with parts of their families' stories still to be discovered? People love to be a part of the action, particularly when it's as easy as using the cameras on their phones and submitting photos. The fact that they'd be key players in discovering their own family history would give them plenty of incentive. It's the very reason that got them thinking about making the trip in the first place!
