In regards to the buildings where a school was in use; "The school at Corrackan was in a mud cabin. Francis Carney of Clones used a Kitchen, James McManus of Annaghkilly, Clones, taught in a wheat store, " etc, etc...... (Probably circa 1830 ?). Page 555, in the Ballybay chapter mentions a Father Andrew Carney who built St. Patrick's church between 1860 and 1875.
