Do you by any chance have a John Farrell married to Anne (?) with a Daughter Mary born 1838?. All the documentation* I have for Mary Farrell is in Liverpool but it seems she had a connection to Monaghan since the inside covers of her son, John Matthew Gannon's, primers have Annyalla NS written inside them and John Matthew eventually married a Bridget Farrell from Cloghan. But I don't know if Mary Farrell's people were actually from there. She and her husband had been to the US, left under rather hurried circumstances and had reason to not wish to be easily located, or so the story suggests. *Mary's marriage cert.s to Matthew Guinane/Gannon (Sept. 1863 St Patrick's Liverpool & civil registration from PRO) has her father as John, clothier, deceased. and her mother as Anne Her death cert. from the PRO has her dying in 1888 at age 50.
