I can't tell you about Dr. Sterne, but the listing indicates that Dr. Sterne was at that time deceased, that he had left the property/tenancy to charitable organizations or groups that had trustees (possibly estate trustees) who were operating the property for the benefit of the charities. It possibly was sold/ leased/retenanted at a later date to someone else. What those charities may have been is the question, and for the benefit of whom? The good doctor may not have even resided in that area, or even in Ireland, as the surname Sterne/Stern is relatively uncommon in Ireland, according to my references. The charities could well have been in England, for instance, at that time period, as were many if not most landlords, which he apparently was. Land records would have to be pursued, if interested, either through microfilms in Ireland or through the LDS Family History Center nearest you. That, and research on Dr. Sterne, himself, if of interest. --Sally ____________________________________________________________________________________ Looking for last minute shopping deals?
