I thought that I had copied some residents of Trynany townland in Co. Monaghan from the Tithe Applotment Books, along with other townlands in Donagh Civil Parish from an LDS microfilm. I had the following names (and indicated in my notes that the townland had 9 "divisions"). Names included: Andrew Woods, Hugh Farrell, John Flemming, Rev. Wm Smith & Widow Farrell. I am unable to locate this townland in Griffiths. Have also tried IreAtlas on line and also Monaghan County Planning Board website. Does anyone know what became of this townland? My handwriting is pretty bad. Could it be Srananny? Griffiths shows no Farrells but a George Fleming in Srananny. Maureen Farrell [email protected]
