    3. I am forwarding below message to list as may be of interest to some list members. Brian Annie Crenshaw <[email protected]> wrote: Dear Brian, Thank you for posting a link to the Broomfield Presbyterian Church photo on the IRL-Monaghan list. I don't subscribe to the list but found your link when browsing for other Monagahan records -- searching boards and lists for any connections to Hamilton family at Thornford, who were long-time members of Broomfield Presbyterian Church. I have yet to be able to research church records or find an index of the cemetery -- Michelle McGoff used to have a web site with transcription of the cemetery, but has discontinued it, unfortunately! Would love to find those elsewhere on the Internet. Has anyone posted this Broomfield data (see below) on the list yet? If not, it might help someone. Broomfield Presbyterian Church (Castleblayney) records start 1841. Castleblayney (town) Presbyterian Church records start 1831. PRONI church records index shows Broomfield Presbyterian records on microfilm #192. From a general information web site on Co. Monaghanon parishes & towns, describing modern attractions, accomodations, etc. as well as local history - Donaghmoyne parish: "There are no Protestant churches in the parish in which services are held today. The old Broomfield Presbyterian Church has been renovated to a local tourist amenity. This centre will incorporate a coffee shop, a facility for developing and displaying crafts, office spaces, and an antiques display area." Obviously part of this plan has been implemented. Nice to see such a lovely old building continue in use rather than be demolished.
